One of my first paintings. Instead of throwing it away I wanted to see if I could fix it up a little.

Another tiny one. Couldn’t let the canvas go to waste!
My friend Dave requested this painting of the spot where his best friend Jimmy’s ashes were scattered several years ago. It’s a present for Jimmy’s father, who visits this Audobon sanctuary at least once a week. I saw the view in person with Dave and then he took this picture for me to work from.
I painted about half of this outdoors on the spot, and half indoors from a photo I took when I started painting. It finally forced me to work more loosely and to struggle with color as it appears (and changes) in real life.
